David Olsson

David Olsson is the Global Head of Institutional Distribution at BlockFi. He started his career in proprietary trading at a hedge fund, Caxton, and later moved to Merrill Lynch where he spent time in New York and London and was responsible for a structured financing and structured products desk. In London he built a team from the ground up, and launched several businesses including a managed account platform for fund-linked derivatives. He then moved to Credit Suisse, where he also led a team in Equity Derivatives, and then was asked to spearhead an effort focussing on sophisticated UHNW clients in its Private Banking department. He graduated from Duke University with a BA in Philosophy, and Columbia University with an MBA.
