Sam Rosenblum

Sam Rosenblum is a Partner and Deal Team Lead at the firm. Previously, Sam was a general partner at Polychain Capital, where he helped institutionalize the firm and led business development efforts for the $5B Crypto Fund and $300M Venture Fund II. Prior to Polychain, Sam was an early employee and Director of Global Business Development at Coinbase. In his five years at Coinbase, from 2014 to 2019, Sam led initiatives spanning international expansion, corporate development and M&A, strategic partnerships, and special projects for the office of the CTO. Sam made Coinbase’s first- ever venture investment in 2016 and hired the team that would go on to form Coinbase Ventures. Sam has been investing in the crypto ecosystem since 2013, building a personal portfolio which includes projects at each layer of the tech stack. Earlier in his career, Sam worked in the Global Strategy Group at Visa, where he focused on strategic initiatives for the core network processing business. Prior to that, he was a hedge fund strategy analyst at Lake Partners and an M&A specialist at the U.S Department of Justice. Sam attended the Honors College at University of California, Los Angeles, where he graduated with honors.
